On December 16 local time, China Railway Construction Engineering Group hosted the launch event for its Tanzania Country Social Responsibility Report and the Nyerere Hotel Open Day in Dar es Salaam. Over 100 attendees, including representatives from the Chinese and Tanzanian governments, Chinese enterprises in Tanzania, local clients, partners, and media, participated in the event.
Officials from the Chinese Embassy in Tanzania, the Tanzania Investment Centre, the Nyerere Foundation, and China Railway Construction Engineering Group jointly unveiled the Tanzania Country Social Responsibility Report. This report vividly showcased, through text and visuals, China Railway Construction Engineering Group’s achievements in supporting local economic growth, environmental protection, safe employment, and safeguarding employee rights, effectively illustrating the essence and value of corporate social responsibility.
Toward the end of the event, participants toured the Nyerere Hotel, an infrastructure project developed by China Railway Construction Engineering Group in Tanzania, gaining deeper insight into the company’s contributions and achievements in the field of infrastructure development.
During the launch, China Railway Construction Engineering Group also donated books and other supplies to a local children’s welfare institution, demonstrating the company’s care and compassion.
